Jason Geter (Grand Hustle Homie!) Birthday Party at Lucky Food Lounge!

The hot boyz. Ow ow!

On Wednesday Jason Geter's 31st (I think) birthday party was held at Luckies Food Lounge, THE hot spot for celeb events.

Tip came out before heading home for curfew (but at least he gets to hang), Dro was showin' us all why he's, "The best thang smokin' " Keri Hilson brought the party, Hannah Kang (GM of Grand Hustle) showed up being a boss lady she is, and Fergie who is in Atlanta recording with Polow (the infamous track leaker!) hit the club up too. For more pictures and celeb guests (like Jeezy, Chingy, Rich Boy, and Mannie Fresh to name a few) in attendance check out Sandra Rose's website!

Ludacris Foundation Celebrity Charity Event at Ralph Lauren

Luda, Rahan Ali (radio's Hot 107.9 has been stepping out all over the A lately!), Ciara and Chaka
Fergie (in Atlanta recording with producer, Polow Da Don) , Luda, and Ciara (doesn't she look incredible?!!)
Chingy (niiiiiiiice), ?, Rich Boy (where you been boi?!), Richy Rich (WTH?!)

Ludacris who just opened up his new swanky restaurant, Straits in Midtown Atlanta earlier this week, held a classy wine and mingle charity event at the beautiful Lenox location of Ralph Lauren for his charity, The Ludacris Foundation. The charity's motto is, "Helping kids help themselves". It's so awesome to see Chris give his time and money to children. The festivity encouraged guests to buy items from the popular top of the line store thus giving 15% of the proceeds to the foundation.

If you receive this post via email or feed log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view the video of Ludacris and others at the Ludacris Foundation event last night. Thanks!

I snooped out the Ralph Lauren location hours before the mini gala was held and it was quite lovely. Everyone was in the store fixing things, dusting and smiling. Once it was time for the actual event I could not stay long. I am still in school and had a dang mid-term exam! Woooh hooo for education!

Anyway enjoy the pics and video above from SOHH blogger, Gyant. Your man is always on the scene! Check out that link for more.

I'm going to have a review on Luda's new restaurant, Straits next month so watch out for that. I'm proud of ya man. He's doing me proud. :)

Thank you Katena Keno for the info and invite!

Is Jay-Z trippin' or just being human? (video)

If you receive this post via email or feed, please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view. Thanks!

Jay-Z is just strolling down the street and paps of course are following him trying to get in his business. So he ignores them for a while and then finally says a rather rude thing to one of the rather rude followers. Is this wrong? I mean with fame comes such adoration and even downright stalking that the famed may start to loathe. Doesn't it come with the territory? If there were no fans, there would be no fame and without the fame no money and without the money no career right?

But isn't there a line that is drawn? A person, famous or not should be able to walk down the street, eat a meal, have a baby, drive in traffic, shop, or have a rough day, without having their everyday simple moves taped. He may seem kinda snooty in this video to most YET I actually can understand why J feels the way he does. Who wants someone in their face ALLLLLLLLLL the time checking to see if they have a booger or trying to make them share their personal issues?! I can see asking for a picture or two but otherwise give them a break unless it's an event, concert or planned appearance. What if it were you? And despite their wild popularity due to the world's celeb obsession, TMZ is bothersome and annoying as hell (and i only got this video visiting another website...not theirs, thanks!). Goooooooooolly! This media outlet has become rich by breathing down people necks and spreading rumors and i'm not jealous cuz it is straight punkish. That is NOT the business.

Star Jones FINALLY files for divorce from Al Reynolds! But does he want half??

From Access Hollywood
Star Jones has filed for divorce from her husband, Al Reynolds, after three-and-a-half years of marriage, a rep for the former “View” co-host has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life. A month ago I filed for divorce. The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts. I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman,” Jones said in a statement to Access.

A source close to the former talk show host told Access the couple’s relationship has been in peril for some time, saying, “It hasn’t been an easy relationship for a while. There were all these rumors out there, all this speculation, which made it difficult for Star.”

End

The latest is yall, that Al is has hired a lawyer and is trying to convince the courts that Star made him stay home so he can be at her beck and call so he quit his stockbroker job (Oh helllllllllll nawl!). Now he's a professor at the U of Florida. I gotta say...ewwwww. I mean what's happened to some men these days?? This Al guy is a true joke. Now I know half the world is speculating his gayness and almost no one believed that the marriage would last. I for one will not say yes he is gay or no and really hoped that the marriage could work if there was love there. But this new messy ish has made my stomach turn. Have some decency boy! This is as as bad as Nick Lachey asking for money from Jessica Simpson and Jonathan Plummer the ex of Terry McMillan wanting financial support. Get a job dude! Damn. Respect thyself. Seriously. Okay let me stop and leave before I...

AG Entertainment & Konvict Muzik Present- BU's birthday celebration at the Compound this Thursday night!

For some this is another reason to party on a Thursday. I have a final, and another event before that so I won't be there. But if ya wanted something to do, here you go and have fun. I know girls like to be around those men in the game with cash. I could care less and infact would stray far from such types but hell that's just where i stand. The Compound needs to brush up on their security by the way since less than a week ago (at the hip hop fashion show with Ashanti, Ray-J, who was accompanied by Whitney Houston...hmmm...eehehee, and Mario) there was a shooting of a young man. But I'm sure they are on it since the horrible event.

We are the Ones Song by Will.i.am for Barack Obama (video and lyrics)

To view the video from email or feed please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com. Thanks!

Did you get a little tear in your eye from this one? It kinda reminds me of "We are the world" from the 1980's with Michael Jackson, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder, Cyndi Lauper, Bruce Springsteen, etc. VERY powerful. Celebrities for USA for Africa now celebrities for Obama. Video from DipDive.com. Go O!

Here is the song that Will.i.am wrote for the democratic running hero:

The We Are The Ones Song
by will.i.am

people say Obama’s words are just words...
but...
when was the last time "words" weren’t important...???...

when was the last time a great leader didn’t use words to lead...??...
when was the last time a person didn’t use words to describe how they felt...?...
when was the last time "words" weren’t empowering...?...

and we can all recall the last time "words" were used to divide us and install fear...

Bush used words to fear us into voting for him the second time around...
terror this...
terror that...
nuclear here...
weapons of mass destruction there...

and those words effected a lot of people’s choices...

"enough is enough"...
let’s rebuild...

let’s change ourselves...
let’s allow positivity to guide us...

let's take action....
let’s activate our passion...
we are Americans....

and this is the first time in forever that someone running for president represents "US"...

some say this is all excitement...
I call it “proud to be an American”...

some say this whole Obama movement is "cult like"...
well...
if it comes across cult like...
then...
the cult is called America...

the Obama movement is connecting America.
and it has made "US" realize our importance...
the youth is excited and activated...
adults are passionate and motivated...
the elderly are proud to know the country they built is in safe hands...

we are one...

for too long politics has been corrupt...
separate from the American people...
with agendas that go against what the American people "need"...
education...
health...
safety...
jobs
etc...

politicians have spoken a different language...
making it so the youth and poor people feel as if voting was only for the wealthy and old people...
making "US" feel as if "we" had no voice...
making "US" feel powerless...
making it feel like if "we" did vote it wouldn’t change anything...

but wait...
that did happen...
some of us voted, and it didn’t change anything...

we were in the dark...
we had no voice...
we were powerless...

because America was not a united America...
and "they" spoke a different language...
and they had an agenda different from our well being...

correct me if I’m wrong... or speak up if I’m missing something...

we want education, health, safety, and good jobs...right???...
oh yeah...
and "a healthy planet to live on"...

but here we are...

in a war... poor education... poor health programs... the dollar is down... the planet, polluted...
the rich, richer... and the poor, struggling...
with sky high gas prices to top it all off...

and now even the rich aren't really rich internationally because our dollar is has fallen so far down...

in our slumber... a very small few got really rich...

because when you’re sleeping...

"it’s hard to change agendas"...

we know what happened in 2000 and 2004...
but in 2008...
it’s different...

we are awake...
and there is a movement...

and "it’s hard to change a movement"...

last time "we" didn’t have a movement...
America wasn’t united...

and now "United and "Standing"...for something...
we know the power of "US"...
and we have a person who represents the "U.S."...

"US"…

"we are the ones we’ve been waiting for"...

I’m proud to be an American...

Obama looses Pennsylvania AND declines another debate with Clinton...good look on that one Obama.

Hillary on the attack. Darling...I think it's time for you to close your mouth a little with the dirt throw-up coming out of it.

Predictably, Obama lost the Pennsylvania primary. But we already knew he would. While the win infuses Clinton’s redlining campaign with much needed cash, it does nothing for her chances overall. She still has no hope of beating Barack Obama in August unless there is foul play involved.

Obama’s camp realizes that and has decided not to play footsies with Clinton anymore. Obama turned down an offer from CBS to debate Clinton on Sunday after “60 Minutes.” Clinton sorely needs this debate to push forward her hateful agenda, but Obama doesn’t need it. The Democratic nomination is already in the bag.

Obama spokesman Dan Leistikow said this of Clinton’s chances of debating Obama: “Their attacks indicate they are really not looking for a debate, but any forum to continue their negative, throw-the-kitchen-sink campaign.”
The above views are from popular blogger, Sandra Rose. She has good insight on this situation in my opinion.

I myself say also that losing Pen should not matter. I am pulling faithfully still for Obama. And as far as the decline goes, let me tell you the man is not perfect, he is flawed but in his lack of perfection he has a decency and a humility about him that far outweighs Hillary's simple kindergarten tactics. Plus Obama has a great marriage (again i am not saying perfect) that is built on trust and respect unlike The Clinton's and that says something. Obama has class. Enough said by me.

Kanye and Alexis official break-up :(

Why i care about some celeb break-up i don't know. But i was a little saddened by the news last week that Kanye West and designer Alexis Phifer broke off their engagement. The rumors began when Alexis was seen at a fashion show sans her engagement bling. then she confirmed with People Magazine the real truth also revealing her sadness about the situation. Duh. But of course she's sad. Breaking up before the media can't be easy right?

It's weird because not too long ago (in a magazine interview) I recall him talking about them getting married soon. I recall him saying how much he loved her and how he found someone who was good for him. In pictures he always seemed to be so near her and happy to be at that! I wondered how they would fare after his mother's death and all the emotions that one goes through after that. Also after really listening to one of my very favorite songs of his, "Flashing Lights" I began to think that maybe he and Alexis had some problems with him getting caught doing her dirt and them going back and forth in the relationship. Maybe I analyze too much but Kanye seems to be real in his lyrics and talk about what he is going through in life. Also of that song he is quoted saying that the song was about everything going on in his life or should I say the video, which of course relates in its own way to the song.

Anyway I deem that our good 'ol lil rapper boy is just going through some stuff and still dealing with his emotions...as he always is because dude is publicly emotional. I wish them the best and if it is meant to be, they will get back together. Breaks are not so bad if you need them. Get your head together Kanye.

Estelle dances the night away at Sa Bor Lounge after her Sugarhill concert

Estelle...Say, "cheese!"
I don't normally like to post pictures of myself on the blog BUT i'm breaking the rules today...Shem, Estelle, Tammy, Me, and Mecca at
Sa Bor Lounge after Estelle's concert at Sugarhill

Well the crowd wasn't big enough so the talented John Legend didn't show his pretty little face after his concert at Sugarhill last night BUT Estelle being the newbie and trooper that she is held up her end and came and rocked with us a little in VIP at Sa Bor Lounge's Bailey's, Mercedes Benz Buckhead sponsored event.

Estelle is your best friend, the cool chick next door with the flamin' brit accent, the no fuss girl who is real, the funky dresser who's style works over that super buff bod, the girl who likes to dance around as if she's the only one in the room...and i like her.

Sa Bor Lounge is pretty tight yall. It boasts of two levels, a balcony, a private room and has a very red light district meets soul suite vibe to it. Thursday nights are free allllllllllll night long baby. Have fun!

Sa Bor Lounge (near Phillips Arena)

150 Walton St.

Atlanta, GA 30303

Thank you to Bytuah Gonsahn of Iron Global, and Clay West of 5 Star Media for VIP access and a few pictures. Also thank you to David of Estelle's management team for setting up the future interview. I look forward to it and so do others...Estelle is gathering a cult following and is quickly becoming a pop icon (Vibe and Blender magazine) with her disco flavored, feel good "American Boy".

Jam a little, listen to Estelle's "American Boy" here! If you receive this post via email or feed please log onto www.FindEntertainmentNow.blogspot.com to view the above video. Thanks!

Put that Coke down girl. You know that junk will corrode your insides mama! But lovin' the bag. Yes i tend to be a "bag lady".

Look at cute actress Lauren London, still looking just dandy with little to no make-up! She was spotted very recently on the set of her new movie, I Love You, Beth Cooper. It's about a nerdy valedictorian who decides to go all out on a limb and declare his love for a popular cheerleader, Hayden Panettiere. But i hope Lauren plays a main lead. Will Cherish sell past gold with their new album, "The Truth"?

The young, Cherish, looking a little better and still keeping it in the family

Well the girls are set for a new album release of, "The Truth" on May 13th 2008. "The Truth" is about their lives. Well I'm not a hater but to answer the title question, I just don't think so. "Do it to it" was one of those super hits. The guys were leaning and rockin' so the ladies smartly bit off of that and did their song in a female tone letting Sean Paul rap. Big hit, but is that all there was to Cherish? If Capital records pushes them then maybe they have a chance. I heard one person said if the girls (sisters) drop their album before Ciara it would be best. Some just got it for longevity and some don't. I don't know if Cherish has that jenesequa to stand past two big hits.

The first single off the album, “Killa” featuring rapper Yung Joc, also appears on the Step Up 2 Soundtrack. The sisters shoot the video for their second single today in Atlanta. (info from SandraRose.com)

They are not great but they are not bad either. There is sooooooo much competition out there in music and movies so it’s rough. One/groups need to stay fresh and at times forget where they came from…which can be very sucky.

"We want to be taken as seriously as En Vogue, Sister Sledge, TLC and Destiny’s Child. We are here to stay.” Farrah of the group, 24. Well The Dream, as fabulous of a writer that he is has written a couple of the new album's tracks! Here some new music, including, "Killa" here! Scroll down when u click on the link to read an interview the girls did and then more to hear the music from Imeem.com playlist. I just love Imeem!

I do wish them major success and hope they pull it off and then some. They are cute and going for the dream! Can't knock this hustle.

John Legend and Estelle at Sa Bor restaurant and lounge this Thursday night at 10 pm!

After the concert as Sugarhill this Thursday, John Legend (ooooh he can saaaaaaaang!) and his artist from his label, Estelle ("American Boy") will be heading to Sa Bor (a Latin name) Restaurant and Lounge to meet and mingle (gosh so many new clubs poppin' up like acne in the A!). I am set up to talk to the two superstars so i can give you the dish. I'll update you best I can on Friday! Also earlier in the day Estelle will be at Atlantic Records in Atlanta to publicize herself of course! Oh i just love the Brits. I may fake an accent for a while so don't be alarmed. Though i'm pretty good actually...(giggle!)

Does Rob Lowe really have an issue touching girls??

He could use more of an upper lip...but he still looks good.

They used to say that the cherub faced boy was gay. Then Rob Lowe ended up in the media yeeeeeeeeeeears ago in the worst way for screwing around with an under-aged girl, on TAPE while in Atlanta, GA, A.K.A. Sodom and Gomorrah! Do yall remember that? Imagine that a no-no sex tape in the late 80's? Boy lucky for him there wasn't youtube back then. But the media still blew the current star of, "Brothers and Sisters" up. I just recall my dreams of becoming Mrs.Lowe being shattered for me not only cuz i wasn't a white chick but after i saw his pretty face on camera doing the nasty with a minor or two, i knew then that he and i, alas, just couldn't be. I passed on the Dear. John letter...good 'ol Robby boy knew what was up!

Well time heals most wounds and Lowe actually got married and had his own brood of children. Well for superstars children mean nannies. Well a certain nanny is saying that for years she was touched and sexually abused by Lowe but didn't say anything because she needed the job, loved the kids and thought that it would eventually changed. Okay so she never went to police? Hmmmm...i dunno. Smells like a scaaaaaaandaaaaaaaaaaal!

See what AP news reports:
In legal papers filed in Santa Barbara, Jessica Gibson says Lowe touched her inappropriately several times between September 2005 and January 2008.

Gibson worked for Rob and Sheryl Lowe on and off for seven years before quitting on Feb. 24.
"I always thought it would be different when I went back, but it was not," Gibson said in the suit. "I stayed as long as I did because of the children and because I needed a job."

Last week, Lowe sued three former employees, including Gibson. He said she demanded $1.5 million to remain silent about the abuse allegation, which his attorney dismissed as "outrageous" and "untrue." In that suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Lowe also accused another nanny of spreading lies about him.

Lowe's lawyer, Larry Stein, said Gibson never gave any indication she had a problem with Lowe during all the years she worked for him.

"She left at least two times, to pursue other jobs, and returned each time asking for more hours," Stein said. "She sent two e-mails the day after she left, both saying she loved the Lowes and her leaving had nothing to do with them but her heart wasn't into being a nanny anymore.
END

Does the broad want money? Is the story at least half true? What is the twist because you know there is one?! Well gather your thoughts on this one kids...poor Rob. Or poor wife. But he sure still looks pretty.

p.s. favorite Rob Lowe movie of all times? "About Last Night" with the young and then supple, Demi Moore. Well actually Demi's still got it too!

Who's Lying? Carmello Anthony and Lala OR the Denver Police?

It was all over the media that Denver Nuggets star player Carmello Anythony was pulled over early Monday morning because he was driving drunk. Reports show that the police department took favor on him by dropping him off at his hotel instead of taking him to detox and personally taking his pimped out ride to a safe place instead of impounding it. Investigations are being made do to this. Some say it's playoffs man so let it ride! Well the story was gnarled with rumors that Anthony's fiance and mother of his new son, Lala Vasquez refused to pick him up when he called her for a ride. There have been mixed reactions from, was it fair for Carmelo to get "special treatment" from the law enforcement in Denver to, can anyone blame Lala for leaving her man out to dry with his so called wicked ways....(i say so called because there is always here-say in celeb life)?

Well to set the record straight, Lala and her man spoke directly to the source, People Magazine and cleared the air. Carmelo quickly did a press conference to apologize to his team, fans and family for his unacceptable dangerous drunk driving behavior. And Lala of course spoke up so people would know she is down for her man. She's not letting any of these other chicks get her man cuz in the eyes of the public she aint acting right!

“I want to make sure the public understands that I fully support my fiancé, Carmelo Anthony, and stand by him through this ordeal,” Vazquez said in a statement to the popular People Magazine on Tuesday. “I will always have his back and never refused to pick him up from the police station. In fact, they offered to bring him to me.” (but police and magazines say otherwise...hmmmm. Lala is calling their bluff!)

Anthony followed with a humble,: “LaLa continues to be a rock in my life, she’s always been there for me through thick and thin.”

Well if she's your rock, mello, make that rock on her finger official and marry her already like you said you were! Or maybe she's not ready. Or maybe i should just stay outta grown folks biz...who knows what's really going on.

A sad poem (by Lord Byron)

Okay I can be a bit of a "basket case" at times. Yeah so what. When i feel sad it feels like a rainy circus with drunken clowns in invading my heart. Messy and dumb. Well thank goodness it's been a while since I felt that way but I can recall a time or two (or 92) that I have. And this poem describes perfectly what i felt like in at least two of those occasions. It is sad but my favorite sad poem. And i am as happy as a bee on a rosebud right now but can still appreciate the wording, emotion and imagery that this poem creates. A tale of love once so strong, then so lost. Oh emotions are so great and powerful! Love, hate, sorrow. I just pray that the one that rules you the greatest is love.

When We Two Parted

When we two parted In silence and tears, Half broken-hearted To sever for years, Pale grew thy cheek and cold,Colder thy kiss; Truly that hour foretold Sorrow to this.
The dew of the morning Sank chill on my brow -It felt like the warning Of what I feel now. Thy vows are all broken, And light is thy fame:I hear thy name spoken, And share in its shame.
They name thee before me, A knell in mine ear;A shudder come o'er me -Why wert thou so dear? They know not I knew thee,Who knew thee too well: -Long, long shall I rue thee, Too deeply to tell.
In secret we met -In silence I grieve, That thy heart could forget,Thy spirit deceive. If I should meet thee After long years, How should I greet thee? -With silence and tears.
George Gordon Byron, Lord Byron

Go on now Lord B! Not to be confused with the Lord GOD! LOL!

A love poem (by EE Cummings)

Anyone who knows me knows that i looooooooove love. but not just love but pure love. Now while love is still welcome with me, i can say i am in no rush for such emotion these days because it is serious business, it has to be right, and you gotta be ready for all of that. Good love is worth the wait. Yet and still i enjoy to see people really displaying acts of amore and jest for one another. I first heard this poem off a Cameron Diaz movie when i was going through some jacked up ish. And i cried and cried and cried and cried....etc. You get the point. It touched my heart 2 years ago, and it touches me the same today. I'm feelin' slightly sentimental today yall... <3!!

"i carry your heart with me "

i carry your heart with me (i carry it in my heart) i am never without it (anywhere i go you go,my dear;and whatever is done by only me is your doing, my darling) i fear no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true) and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the budand the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide) and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)

ee cummings

"God i honestly thank you for love. When i hear this poet's song I think about my little sisters and brother and how much i love them so dearly. They are near to my heart and i treasure them always. Lord I think also of you and how you must think of me. I'm so grateful. Thank you. AMEN!"

T.I. sits down with the AJC for his first official interview (still can't talk about the case...)

I wanted to post the interview that the AJC had with T.I. late last week for those that haven't seen it. He's amassed much humility that I pray he'll fight to keep. I love this guy, always have. Very very proud. Read below:

T.I.: 'I know I brought it on myself'
By SONIA MURRAY
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution

Late Thursday afternoon Atlanta rapper-actor T.I. granted his first sit-down interview since the convicted felon was arrested for, and pled guilty to, three firearms charges last month.

T.I. has admitted he bought the machine guns and silencers, has 1,000-plus hours of community service to complete, and has been sentenced to an expected 366 days in prison in March 2009. And while the events of Oct. 13, 2007, were off limits, the 27-year-old born Clifford Harris Jr. talked openly about a number of things: from the son he's expecting to the 24 hours before his life changed.

Here are excerpts from the 30-plus minute conversation the AJC had with him at the Villages at Carver YMCA, right after he spoke to a handful of aspiring teen producers at a FOR ME Inc. workshop:

Q. Who is T.I. — or Clifford Harris, Jr., now?
A. It's hard to say because a lot of things are the same and a lot of things have changed. I still have a huge amount of passion for what I do. I still have a huge amount of passion for doing what I can for the community. I still have my foundation — remembering where I came from and principles that have been instilled in me. But at the same time I also have an acknowledgement of things that need to be left behind, let go. And also an acknowledgment that there has to be an about-face. A 180-degree turn, in order for us to continue on the path to success.
Q. Do you feel lucky?
A. I feel blessed. Lucky ain't the word. It's by the grace of God that I'm here.
Q. People don't hear you talking about God on record or in person.
A. When you do the amount of praying that anybody in a situation similar to mine spends the time doing, and for that prayer to work, and for you to have other people praying for you to get through the situation - or to see the situation beginning to look up — and not acknowledge that's what helped the situation, I think that's blasphemous.
Q. You probably did more praying between October and last month than maybe you ever have, huh?
A. Nah, nah, I can't say that. I've always [drifts off] situations tend to arise and prayer tends to give the strength to get through it. I've always recognized that I'm blessed to be here. I've said that in my music — plenty of times. So may different outcomes could have been mine... God shows me favor for some reason or another.
Q.What have you learned bout yourself, being on house arrest for months?
A. Patience. Just a lot of patience. If I can sit at home all day and wait on people to bring me what I need. Wait on getting permission to be able to do this and do that it's not as serious as I used to make it sometimes. Sometimes it was like, 'If I don't get this right now I'm just going to lose it'...When you're going 350 mph it tends to be that way. But when you are stopped — halted — not slowed down, but halted, you figure 'Well I could have just slowed down. I didn't have to be stopped.' I thought it was bad just to slow down. Now I see in me being stopped, I could have done this, been this, myself, instead of being forced to do it.
Q. Going back to that day you pled guilty, that night you went out to Ruth's Chris (restaurant). Is that what you missed having to stay home?
A. I mean just the ability to do me. Whether it was going to eat with my family. Whether it was having my family to be able to come eat with me. Whether it was going to the grocery store for myself. Picking my kids up from school. Taking my kids to the movies and to basketball practice. Going to the studio. Handling my business at the office as I need to. Whatever doing me was.
Q. MTV was there that night too. Are they doing something on you?
A. Well, there is some documentation being done. We're actually in the middle of negotiating exactly what it would take to be able to have that type of access to my life. But I think it's something that needs to be out there on a broad spectrum.
Q. What?
A. The message that I'm trying to get out. How much work that I have to do in the time that I have to do it in. All of this, I think, needs to be known. And that's a way to deliver the same message that I just delivered to those 15, 20, 30 kids, to the nation. They'll sit in front of the TV — even if I can't make it to their school; or if I can't make it to their Y.
Q. Do you feel like at this point in your life, 'OK I need to be closer to my family. Spend more time there. Or like, 'Businesswise, I need to really get as much as I can'?
A. All of the above. They both take high priority. Absolutely.
Q. OK then, speaking of business, this week the news broke that you're finalizing a deal for this movie 'Heist'.
A. Yeah.
Q. You talk about separating entertainment versus reality in your speeches, but is there any concern that your next movie is about a bank robbery considering your situation?
A. I didn't write the movie. I'm hired to do a job. I'm an actor. This is a role that the studio came to me and asked me to do [before his arrest].
Q. Are there any other projects in the pipeline — besides [his CD] "Paper Trail" in September?
A. Akoo Clothing will launch the holidays of this year. Of course we're premiering Big Kuntry's album [in August] and Young Dro. We have other television shows [about comedians] .Also we have a Young Dro reality show. You follow this guy around long enough you're bound to be entertained, at the least.
And with my project, I'm still working.
Q. Is this going to sound like T.I. as your fans have heard you?
A. There are elements that are still there And then there are new elements... But right now I think I'm about to something with (retro soul vocalist) Amy Winehouse — I don't know if it's for [my CD] or hers, but I'm definitely excited. [He added that he plans to have a new single on streetcred.com in the next two weeks].
Q. Last business thing — have you lost business since the arrest?
A. Of course. You can't be expected to take advantage of all of the opportunities that are there for you if you can't even leave your house.
Q. You had a very prominent car endorsement deal.
A. Sure. GM.
Q. Is that still in effect?
A. Nah GM had to back up off of me. There are films that I missed out on. Not speaking of, of course, shows. Tours. Tons of business. I've probably lost about $10 to $12 million dollars.
Q. And you smile after saying that.
A. [Laughs harder] Sometimes you laugh to keep from crying. But you know, I'm blessed to be able to be out here to make $10 to $12 [million] more. Especially considering I brought this all on myself. So you know — minimal injury. Maximum lesson learned.
Q. On to the personal, you're engaged right?
A. Yeah [to longtime on-and-off girlfriend, Grammy winner Tameka "Tiny" Cottle].
Q. Plan to get married any time soon?
A. As far as a date, I'm not setting a date because then it's going to turn into a lot of fanfare. No relationship needs all that. It's more hazard than help... And you know today, as entertainers, as public figures, there's enough strain on a relationship as it is. I think that's a private moment for us and our families.
Q. Another family thing, you have a son on the way. When is he due?
A. May 25.
Q. What kind of dad are you? Are you a disciplinarian?
A. Yep.
Q. You spank your kids.
A. Absolutely.
Q. Well what about them being able to say, 'Not only have you talked about guns or whatever on record, daddy, but in real life you've done those things too?'
A. If they say something like that I'm prepared to deal with it: 'I also had to pay the price, for all of the things that I did. And you're going to pay the price for what you just did. Come see me.' "
Q. While, understood, you can't discuss the arrest and all of that. Can you say what the scariest day of your life was? Was it when [his close friend and assistant] Philant was killed next to you? Or...
A. I've had bullets whiz by me before then. The scariest day?...Hmm. I mean, this past situation ranks high up there. The night of the awards ranks very high up there on the list.
Q. Professionally, what did the night of the BET Hip-Hop Awards (Oct. 13) mean for you? You were the top nominee. It was happening in your city. That should have been a great day.
A. It was sort of like a, well, you remember the [last] Super Bowl, right? You know Jeremy Shockey? He broke his leg. He had to sit up in the press box and watch. He couldn't help his team win. He couldn't play. The greatest, most talked-about, most publicized Super Bowl in our time and he's sitting watching; instead of actually being able to participate. Terrible... And I know, I know, I brought it on myself."
Q. Do you remember Oct. 12, 2007 — that Friday before?
A. We had a very good time. We were living life, man— partying. Celebrating. Celebrating success. Being hot. Being hot, working hard... I was at [adult entertainment club] 24K. Then I went to Onyx [another adult entertainment club]. Then I went to [the nightclub] Velvet Room. We were a lot of different places. We had our own little thing we were doing too — a private, members-only party. I actually rolled out of bed from there and went to [the BET] rehearsal. And never made it back.
Q. Sounds like you were having a really good time before...
A. "I was. [Smiles] I was... But I think my future's brighter than my past. Still."

END

God bless...

T-Pain be dippin' his hand in new koolaid!

T-Pain, his light skinned wife and the "other" woman? Huh?

So you have little dippers, normal, non industry dudes who are in heat, then you have big dippers, entertainment dudes who cheat on their wifeys' on a grand scale. Well T-Pain is a big dipper and he's "hot" right now so despite the fact that his looks are NOT the business he has no problems getting the business, ya dig? If you listen to his songs you already know. And yes he does write some of that garbage music/lyrics. Remember he claims he is "Teddy Pender-a$$"? Hey buys girls drinks in the club, he falls in love with bartenders and strippers all alike! Wooo hooo! Eeeyeah or uuuuuuh no if you are wise. Ladies get your own man okay. And fellas, control thyselves! I mean, ewww...(and by the way bunnies...all men do not behave in this scandalous cheating behavior okay. okay!)

So the story is that he dipped out with this rapper chick from good 'ol Atlanta, GA called Miss Cherry who is now featured on the VH1 reality show for female rappers. It premiered last night. Please don't watch it, i caught about 10 minutes and it's dumb and boring and dang Khia ("My Neck my Back") is on it tryna rap...oooooooooooh dread! Anyway this girl Miss Cherry, has a big mouth oh...and she just had T-Pain's baby. Ooooh she got pregnant with the sex which means she doesn't care about her life (nor does he his). STD's people! Sex is not worth it. By the way her figure looks good for such a task. Anywayz...T-Pain's wife (they have 4 kids together) JUST found out about this baby out of their marriage that was born last year. Ouch. Most recently Miss Cherry and T-Pain were spotted together lookin' real cozy like. Double GULP! Dang Teddy. Dang. Okay lemme stop talking about this doo doo mess before i bring such negative vibes my way. I'm just praying for the families involved now at this point. But once again...GULP!!!

This whole thing is all wrong...but not surprising. I swear i am going to marry a smart, Godly (for real Godly) very hideously ugly, broke, kind dude with morals or i aint doin' it at all! Giggle...kidding...well he won't be ugly (or too too broke...we shall have to travel to Paris every winter dears...lol!), but he may have a slight limp. ;)

Snoop Dogg at the CMT awards in Nashville last night! HUH?!!

Just weird...

By the way he was joined by Sisqo (Dru Hill) AND "Bobbyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" Brown at the Country Music shindig. Well....alright then. Next topic...

Robert of Day 26 proposes to his ex girlfriend June Pettiford! Wow...

Outta nowhere...
Go on now Robert! (...i think)

Owwww...hand tats hurt right?!!
Already lookin' like an old married couple...awww. Honest i think they are meant to be. Some folks like a lil drama to keep it spicy and know that no one else will put up with their ish!!

Remember when Diddy was making or choosing the now famous boy band right? Well Robert and June were back and forth on the phone many nights arguing because she cheated on him. He was feeling a little sensitive and she was trippin'.

Then remember last season when he was trying to hit on D.Woods on national tv (MTV's Making the Band) and D turned his butt down like no cuz she saw his exes (June or his) myspace page where they had pictures of her and Robert and she was still calling him her "boo". Robert gets mad and tells D that they are no longer together, he barely ever checks myspace someone else does that for him, he is not the kind of dude to cheat, he was really feelin' D, blah, blah, blah. It was very passionate, emotional, and loud.

Present day. Robert: "Will you marry me June?!" I guess all is forgiven. Because Robert went down to Detroit and proposed to good 'ol June, and brought her presents. It is all over her facebook (which i have a love affair with!). Oh well. Overall i think Robert means well and is just a very touch feely kinda guy who is a bit misunderstood. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. The thing with him liking D is normal. D is pretty hot/very cool, he got a chance to be around her, him and his ex were maybe on the rocks, hey....it is what it is (i wonder if she woulda been with him sans the new found fame though...hmmm). And yall know that some of you out ther right NOW have taken a man back for humiliating you much worse!! Robert went down there and did his thing for his 'ol girl. So for the newly engaged couple, i hope they are happy. A HUGE congratulations, all jokes aside! I send love. I really, really, really like Day 26. I was able to get an interview with them a couple of months ago and truly enjoyed myself. Those boys got talent & heart i tell you!

Ahhh loooooooove! It seems like everybody wants it. Willie was recently married (although he keeps hush hush about it), Que is dating Dawn (cutesy!), And i guess Mike is just having fun receiving extra love. So it seems that even people in the high profile music industry want the real stuff. And these boys have just come from living normal lives so they are still living like semi-normal people. I just pray that he (Robert) will stay faithful to his new fiance, but not only cuz it's right but June looks like the kinda chick who will cuta brotha if he starts to stick and jab some hookah. And that's not a diss to her either. Watch yo back!

p.s. the plastic on the furniture is just a liiiiiiil hood-rich though! That's why i love these cats though. They are real! Real talk. I nominate Robert and June for the couple of the month. Woo hooo! Seriously...

Some friends told me that i should try this place so Vino had already begun to create a buzz for me. I took a mellow Friday and made a date with my curiosity to scour the place out. When i walked into the area of this upscale lounge i was reminded of the Virginia Highlands or Downtown Decatur, other popular eating and playing places in the building city of Atlanta, GA. New fancy town homes and houses, eclectic restaurants. Yeah i could do this. It looked like someone took notice and built this part of the city up to appeal to the appealing. That night I was the one to appeal and appealed to I was.

Instead of going on and on I will just point a few things out. Hopefully this will pique your interest enough to go check it out.
*wonderful appetizers and sides (chicken fajitas, fillet mignon skewers, spinach feta salad, are a MUST, etc.) that are very affordable. Check out the menu and their website here.

*Vino is Italian and Spanish for Wine so YES they have a large and different/expansive wine selection. Vino's take on the classic, Sangria, which they home-make with real pieces of fruit, wine and juice is c'est magnifique!

*elegant soft serene colors of browns and gold give the presence of royalty and comfort. There are tables and settee sofas to talk, lounge and dine on.

*small and intimate and classy but not stiff. Not ideal for very large parties. But great for friends meeting for happy hour or a lil romantic date. Boyz, she'll be impressed and you will get a second rendezvous!

*friendly staff!

*can hold private parties (lovely for a bridal shower!) in the banquet/wine shop room, BUT it is costly to rent!

*black owned

*live jazz on Friday and Saturday evening

*eclectic upscale area of HWY 20 and blvd/memorial dr.

Weekly events:

Bottomless Mondays- Choose from a selection of 40 wines by the glass every Monday.$20 per person
Wine & Cheese Tasting Wednesdays- Enjoy 6 wines and 3 cheeses from around the world every Wednesday at 7pm.$10 per person
Live Jazz Every Weekend- Sip, eat and listen to the sound of smooth jazz while conversing with friends. First set begins at 8pm. No Cover

So check it out! For the chic casual or the person with a lotta change in their pocket! Unless you are naked you won't feel out of place, because if you are there people may assume you have money and that's just fine. It just looks like that kind of place. So go on and get away with it and dine with the illusion. Just park the pinto down the block! It'll be our secret. Shhhhhhhhhh...

Does Chilli still have a thing for the married Usher?

Usher and Chilli of old: No matter how good things look, it does not ensure a happily ever-after ending...i myself was once in a relationship just like that! And boy am i glad it's over! Woooh!
I thought the title might get ya! Read on...

So smart blogger NecoleBitchie.com recently interviewed TLC's Chilli, Rozonda Thomas last week. She talked to the ex girl grouper about her new single, wanting a husband, her love for Usher, and the man she let get away. And i do agree Necole, Chilli does not age. Her skin is flawless!

The dialog between the two ladies is below. Get Audio and more pictures here!

Necole- Girl first I gotta ask, what kind of regimen do you use on your skin, you have the fountain of youth!
Chilli- Thank you! Honestly, you know girl “black don’t crack”. I just drink a lot of water, I eat organic foods. I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. You know I have to give my mom credit for the good genes and I just take really good care of my skin.

Necole- You still look like you are 21, 23. Everyone’s aging and you are still like “heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey”!
Chilli- [laughs] Thank you!

Necole- Okay so we just listened to your new record Dumb Dumb Dumb, when should we expect that single to be released?
Chilli- Well right now radio is getting it. We are sending it out to everybody and just hoping it blows up. I love that record and working with CriStyle, Oh my God she’s amazing. She’s so talented and just so sweet. This record means so much to me on so many different levels. I wouldn’t say it’s a male bashing song but I am a woman and it’s coming from a woman’s point of view. Who can’t relate to being in a relationship where the person mess up or it’s just a dumb move. A lot of us can high five on that.

Necole- So what is your definition of a Dumb Dumb Dumb?
Chilli- Well you know, it’s not just for females dealing with dumb guys. There are some great guys out there whos been in some relationships with girls who did not appreciate them because they are too nice. That is the craziest thing I ever heard. The DUMBIEST thing I ever heard.

Necole- You know we like bad guys!
Chilli- I don’t! I don’t like bad guys at all! But you know, you just be in a relationship and guys don’t communicate well, or in my opinion you are the complete package and they mess up anyway and end up with a retard. It’s like, that makes them a dummy.

Necole- So have you had anyone that you let get away? Like he was a good guy and you didn’t realize it until the relationship was over?
Chilli- This is gonna be big of me to say this. I have never ever said this in my whole life. Ever. But yea, I did let one good guy get away and that was Marlon Wayans.

Necole- Oh Wow!
Chilli- See no one knew! And it’s funny because I met Marlon when I was 20, when I had just got in TLC and you remember that movie “Mo Money”? I remember we were on tour with Hammer and we had went to the movies and I saw him in that movie. I was like “Oh My God he is soooo cute!!!” So we went out that night and I ended up seeing him that night. And I met him for the first time and we just clicked instantly

Necole- And he is soo funny..
Chilli- Girl, he is the funniest man in the world. And the thing that was so wonderful about him is that we were friends but he really did love me. Like if I had to look back and say “who really loved and adored me” ..it was him. And so my dumb butt, I can really put this on me now. I was caught up in the “bad guy” and how it’s just this challenge. I like to call them projects. We think we can just fix and tweak but as you get older you become a lot smarter and realize people are who they are. They don’t change. And the older they get the more they become that true person so little things that you didn’t see early on, you really are gonna see it later. But ya know, we are friends even til this day. He has two kids with his girl and all that but I’m like maaaaaaaaaaaannn

Necole- That could have been you!!
Chilli- Yes, yes! So he’s the one I let get away.

Necole- Well you know everybody wants to know.. They’ve seen you parlaying around with Floyd [Mayweather] and these stories about him spending thousands of dollars on some shoes..
Chilli- That’s hilarious! Floyd and I are really good friends. I like Floyd. You know it’s funny because you see Floyd on television with all the money and all that kind’ve stuff. I get on him and say “stop doing that and go to a hospital and pay a families bills and he actually thought it was a great idea so he’s really a great guy! That is just an image that he puts out there but the Floyd outside of that. He’s just amazing. Like he has one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen. I honestly have to say that. So he’s just someone that I like hanging out with. He’s the type of person that when we are all hanging out together, he’d buy stuff for everybody. He’s just real giving like that so of course if he’s buying me shoes, then it’s like “they are together”. But no, I’m not dating him. I do want a date. I want a boyfriend. I want a husband

Necole- I know that’s right!
Chilli- I do. I want a husband but I’m very picky. My standards are very very very high.

Necole- What are you looking for in a potential husband?
Chilli- Girl, Marlon! [laughs] Oh god! He’s so awesome. I messed up. I blew that. I just wasn’t there at the time you know. Just someone who loves God and who is very respectful of himself. If that relationship with the Lord is there then he’s already gonna just not do certain things and will naturally do other things and that’s the part that’s hard for me to find. Like I meet these guys and they may have some stuff but they don’t have everything. And the things they don’t have are major enough for me to just be like “no, I can’t”. And girl I don’t waste time, I can tell by the second date. It’s like peace. Like “baby bye” and I won’t talk to him again.

Necole- I’m like that too. I have like a two date rule.
Chilli- Stay that way! You know what, at the end of the day majority of people in the world are unhappy in relationships. If you and I are by ourselves, it makes sense for us to get lonely every now and then because no one is there but for the most part, if we are with someone and still lonely, that’s a problem.

Necole- And you know what, I have a lot of friends that are with someone and they are still lonely.
Chilli- Miserable! They are miserable because it’s just human nature that we feel like we have to have somebody in our lives and I don’t believe that God meant for any of us to be alone, but I know he didn’t mean for us to be with the wrong person and deal with crazy stuff all the time. No way, I’m not doing it!

Necole- I’m gonna need you to write a relationship column on NecoleBitchie.com as a guest blogger!
Chilli- I would love to[laughs]!

Necole- But for real, I put your record up today with the jacked up picture (as they say) (laughs) I just needed a visual to go along with the song at the moment and it was just perfect when I googled images. But yea, it’s a really hot record, I know it’s gonna be on the charts and most people were like “Yea, I’d bump this in my ride”.
Chilli- Thank you! I appreciate that so much. You know it’s funny to me that people refuse to let the Chilli and Usher thing go.

Necole- I mean because everyone was rooting for the two of you. You were like the cutest couple ever!
Chilli- Well you know what’s funny. I will say this and I know it’s gonna be everywhere. Lord, Tameka gonna be trying to fight people. But honestly I will say, although Marlon is the one that got away, Usher is the one that I truly did love. Like that was truly my first adult love. I love him very much and I will always love him. I don’t know how you love someone that deeply and just stop loving them. I’m not in love with him anymore but I can’t say that I don’t love him anymore. And of course I do want him to be happy and all but me and him had what I never had in any of my other relationships, and that was chemistry. Even in that picture that you have up. Any picture that you see with the two of us, you see it. It’s just there! I could be standing next to him til this day and people will be like “Wow”. It’s not that you are wondering if we are back together again, it’s just that we look like we just go together.

Necole- Right.
Chilli- So unfortunately we couldn’t get all the other stuff right and I think a lot of it had to do with timing. For me I had just come out of an off and on 10 year relationship with Dallas and as a female to female you understand that when you get out of those crazy relationships you kind’ve get this “I’m strong and I’m not gonna let anyone in”

Necole- Yes, let me break this wall down.
Chilli- You can be a little bit much and I think at the time I was kind’ve like that and he was a lot younger and so he was immature in ways. I was too so I won’t put it all on him like that but to me I felt like if the timing was different, it would have been a different story. So yea, I will always love him.

Necole- What should we expect from you in the future?
Chilli- I really want to do big things with kids. My goal is to write a book one day on parenting. You know it’s funny but my son goes to a Private Christian Academy and alot of them are like “wow, it’s amazing to see you up here all the time and you are so involved. You’re a celebrity and blah blah blah” and I’m like “wow”. It feels good to hear that but at the same time I’m like “that’s jacked up”. That’s my son! I’m supposed to be involved in his life. I’m supposed to cook him dinner. I’m supposed to make him lunch. I’m supposed to just love him to pieces like I do and to me when you don’t give those things to kids that is when they grow up and they are getting in too trouble and going to jail and all that type of stuff… And not knowing how to be in relationships because it starts at home. I’m just gonna try to help honey!

Necole- Trying to do what you can right? So do you have a release date for your album yet?
Chilli- I’m actually still recording. I’m pretty much done but if someone calls and says you have to hear this record and it’s “hot”, I can’t turn it down.

Necole- And have you titled the album yet?
Chilli- I have something in mind. I’m working on some things. I’m a perfectionist. Even with working with TLC, we always had these cool titles and I still have that same mentality. I’m from the old school so I want people to buy my album and feel like it was worth every penny.
